FOLK is a personal investigation into the impact of the filmmaker’s father’s self-imposed amnesia. Unfolding as a conversation between the director and her father with cinematic reenactments bringing certain memories to life the film is a meditation on intergenerational trauma; father/daughter relationships; and the lingering impact of global conflict on individual lives.
